Ripening at the moment
created by Francoise Nielly
Look at these absolutely fantastic knife paintings by Francoise Nielly. Yes I said knife. At first I am drawn to the vibrant colors. She does a great job by not allowing every color to have a voice. There's enough subtle colors to allow certain colors to scream with attention. If you break down every color up close you'll see how they are not politely blended into others. Instead each color is slabbed onto the canvases that from a greater distance create a powerful face. I love that shit. Altogether these breathtaking fierce images caught my attention, and I thought they deserved to be admired.

Water water everywhere
created by Sivia
I left my brushes at school so I had to finger paint with Acrylic paint. Look how unintentionally cool it looks! My roommate made a great point when she said the water looked too abstracted and might not look like water when someone else sees it. Add some awesome tubbing people and you have yourself a river! I really enjoyed using greens instead of blue. I was very attracted to the light reflections in the water. They bent in such unusual hypnotizing ways. I felt very proud of myself to have achieved perspective in an unexpected way.

Ok listen to this bull
I broke my camera two weeks ago :[
It was an accident and I'm so sad because I've had that beautiful baby for 4 years! Anyways it's prevented me from being able to load up anything new. However, my computer has a silly little camera that I'm using for now. It's not fantastic but it does the job.

Winnie the Pooh
created by Sivia
I painted this picture of Winnie the Pooh climbing a tree for my cousins newborn son, Ryan. I hope Ryan hangs it in his son's room and so on. I aspired to build a memory as well as a painting. The John Lennon quote "I Believe in Me" under the tree branch is something that has always spoken to me. Think about it. You can't depend on God, or loved ones all the time, life always has its fair share of disappointments, but you can believe in yourself. You do have control of your own destiny.
