Barnes Foundation

I finally went to the Barnes Foundation today, and they wouldn't let me take pictures! Very upsetting considering the place was amazing. They had some of the best Van Gogh's I've ever seen, even the postman made an appearance! To think I was inches away from his brush strokes. The guards were definitely keeping an eye on me. Cezanne never caught my eye quite like he did today. His vibrant colors and the way he made the picture appear to be moving blew my mind.

While I was there I bought my first piece of art! Liridona and I are always talking about how we'd like to be collectors as well as artists, and I took the first step. It's this sweet little picture by Van Gogh I couldn't take my eyes off in the Gallery. I bought a frame for it too and am so proud.

Painting company and old teachers

Tonight I ran into an old teacher of mine at the MFA show. I was so excited. I cried out his name and ran over to embrace him. The conversation was great and felt natural. I feel like we've evolved from student and teacher to friends which is pretty magical. Afterwards, painting with Dana, Kamil, and Liridona was very productive. Killing two birds with one stone, I felt energized from the painting and over joyed from all the laughter and delightful conversations. These are the times I will cherish forever.
