During the first painting I realized that it wasn't the ocean or the flowers I was attracted to recreating. I'm fascinated by the shapes, colors, and movements. The second painting takes that idea to the next level. Materials: gouache.

I'm obsessed with movies. On that long list of love, animal documentaries especially capture me. There's a sense of imagination and impossibility in places that exist here and now. This video camera I've created is decorated in reaction to the ocean that's being filmed. In this case, it's filming the ocean's waves crashing, neon fish being pulled off the line, green puffy sea anemone, and shark-like teeth protruding from the main lens. I love making things super bright, colorful, and playful displaying tons of energy. This just screams happy and fun to me which is what I'm all about.

Sorry about the bad pictures. I was just so excited to post, but the fact is my room doesn't have great light. I'll wait for natural light next time.

Ok, I'm not sure exactly what I've created here but the insentive started out better than the end result. The bottom green part was an abstract contour of my messy bed made of watercolors and pen. After getting a creativity-block, I'm not sure how to explain the rest.


So.... you're going to have to accept it.
